My husband and I plan to ride across the country one of these days. Wyoming will definitely be on our route. It looks so amazing. Thank you once again. I wonder, when you started this site, did you think it would impact people in this way? Your story is so inspiring on so many levels. You have courage that most of us only have in our dreams.

I have had an unexplained desire for many years to visit Montana but I think it's being overtaken by a wish to see Wyoming. :-) I wonder what's going on in Charlie's brain: does he know what a gift he is?

amazing color. I'm dreaming of the clay plaster this could make for my Michigan house. Michigan has black dirt; dig deep and you can find yellow clay, but I've never seen a lovely burnt sienna color like this one. I can understand how people become dirt collectors, LOL!

The Wyoming tourism and visitors bureau ought to be paying you and Charlie. These photos are great PR for the them.
The husband and I (along with about 4-6 other friends) are buying retirement property in Wyoming... hours south of Shreve, Eli and Charlie... however, I love looking at the background in all of the pictures since that will be our summer home in a couple of years. You're the best!

For those of you who comment on visiting Wyoming, I have been fortunate enough to travel across the states by camper and motorcycle. I encourage everyone to do it. Seeing the landscape in photos or on TV is nothing like seeing them in person. You'll be overwhelmed from the beauty.

Thanks a billion for doing this site. I have been following for a while and yet to comment. It is an amazing thing to have a bond with something wild like Charlie. I have a similar experience going on a couple years with a fox that visits me. "Foxy". He eats from my hand, hangs around when I work on the property, will walk with me in the woods, sit and enjoy the morning sun as I drink coffee outside. Will come when called on occasion.
He however remains mostly wild, and visits on his own terms. But all in all......it is an amazing thing, and I have ton's of pic's a video.
I hope all works out well for you all there. I like your cat too!I'll be following along as long as you keep updating.

I have a request: Could you perhaps, maybe once in a while, take his picture next to a ruler, or a yardstick, or some item (truck tire?) that would give us an idea as to his size? I believe you when you say that he isn't as big as he looks in his pictures--but it's just that he looks so tall and long when there aren't objects nearby that help to determine his size.

Amazing, Charlie body language seems to show that he's totally at peice with the world, and the life-style he's living. Do you have a photo album of gorgeous pictures like this?
One more thing, I've lived in Wyoming for many years, and when people hear that they ask why I live in such and ugly flat state. I explain to them that they have only traveld I-80. Going past the interstate they will see breathe taking sunsets and land that is some of the best. Your pictures are prove that Wyoming is the most beautiful state, you just haev to get past I-80

My niece (who has a dog named Wylie, who is a suspected coyote-cross), sent me your site, and I've been stunned, thrilled, awestruck by the sheer beauty of this creature which has come to live with you, and the fact that you are busy giving him such a wonderful home, as well as chronicling his growth and development with your exquisite images. I hope you are busy making a fabulous book deal, as well as planning to share your beautiful animals via greeting cards (as well as calendars). I hope you are managing to sustain life sufficiently, and will envision a long and healthy life for Charlie, Eli and you. Your gift of this blog is one that has given me a fuller and deeper appreciation for "God's Dog," as the Native Americans used to call the little wolf. I do love coming here to read about the adventures the three of you share, but I do have a question.
The About Us section mentioned that you live in a town with 300 people. I can't imagine that there is anything that goes on in a town that small that everyone doesn't know about. How do the people in the town feel about you raising a coyote? Considering how people in that area feel about coyotes, I was wondering if there is any animosity towards you.
